Van Morrison — "Veedon Fleece"

$25.00

Van Morrison went back to Ireland in October 1973, his first trip home since leaving Belfast in 1967, and wrote most of this album within weeks of returning. Recorded at Caledonia Studios in California and Mercury Studios in New York, Veedon Fleece traded rock for a folk-jazz sound that critics have compared to Astral Weeks ever since. It sold poorly when it came out in 1974 and has since been reclaimed as one of his best records, with "Fair Play," "Streets of Arklow," and "Bulbs" among its highlights.

Genre: Rock / Folk Jazz

Year: 1974

Label: Warner Bros. — BS2805
