Donald Byrd built The Blackbyrds out of his students at Howard University, and City Life is where that experiment paid off hardest — "Rock Creek Park" alone has been chopped into more hip-hop tracks than almost any other break out there. This is the original 1975 Fantasy gatefold pressing, and if you know, you know why crate-diggers still hunt this one down.
Genre: Jazz / Funk
Year: 1975
Label: Fantasy — F-9490
Country: US
Condition: Media: Very Good (VG) / Sleeve: Very Good (VG)
Notes: Hollywood pressing, gatefold cover.
