Johnny Pacheco & Celio González — "El Zorro De Plata Presenta Al Flaco De Oro"
Johnny Pacheco built Fania Records. Celio González was already golden before Fania existed. Pacheco co-founded Fania in 1964 and spent two decades as its musical architect — bandleader, arranger, the guy whose charanga muscle became salsa's baseline. Celio González earned the name "El Flaco de Oro" fronting Sonora Matancera in pre-revolution Cuba, then carried that voice through decades of exile recordings across Venezuela and Miami. This Venezuelan pressing puts the two together — Pacheco's arrangements behind González's seasoned baritone on "Salsa Y Guaguancó" and the slow-burning bolero "Llora."
Genre: Latin / Salsa, Bolero
Year: 1981
Label: Fania Records — LPS-99.470
Country: Venezuela
Condition: Media: VG+ / Sleeve: VG
Notes: Venezuela pressing, manufactured by El Palacio De La Música S.A. Minor ringwear and cover marks
