Some records aren't just rare — they barely exist. Musart built its name on Antonio Aguilar, Chalino Sánchez, and Regional Mexican royalty, but in 1978 it pressed something stranger, "Aqui Estan!...Los Griyos ", an LP that slides between fuzzed-out rock, cumbia, and straight mariachi. This is a promotional copy, sent to radio with the hole-punch to prove it, opened and tested now — plays clean. UCLA's Strachwitz Frontera Collection, the largest archive of Mexican and Mexican-American recordings in existence, has two songs from this LP documented as 45s - and that's the entire historical record. I legitimately couldn't find anything else about them on the Internet. About as close as you can get to a ghost record you can actually hold. And trust me, after one listen, you'll want to hold onto this one.
