Los Freddy’s were one of the defining boleros-with-a-beat acts to come out of Mexico — a group whose romantic delivery carried them through decades of dance halls and radio play. This 1971 Eco pressing catches them mid-run, working the same emotional register that made them a fixture of Mexican popular music: heartbreak, delivered with total sincerity, built for a slow dance at the end of the night.
