Los Blue Angels were part of the Latin garage rock wave that swept through the US in the late 1960s and early 1970s — bands made up of Mexican-American and Latino musicians who took the raw energy of garage and fused it with the rhythms and sensibility of their own culture before anyone had a name for what they were doing. “Por Maldad” on Eco Records is a 1973 document of that moment: guitar-forward, raw, and entirely its own thing.
