KISS — "Creatures Of The Night”

$45.00

The wildest open secret in Kiss history: Ace Frehley’s face is on the cover, but he didn’t play a single note on this album. By the time recording started in July 1982, Kiss was essentially a trio, and Frehley’s parts were handled by a rotating cast of uncredited ghost guitarists — including Vinnie Vincent, Robben Ford, Steve Farris, and others. The result was the heaviest thing Kiss had ever recorded: “I Love It Loud,” “War Machine,” and the title track hit harder than anything from their Casablanca years, a genuine early-80s metal landmark that got slept on at the time because the KISS backlash was still in full effect. The album was also dedicated to Casablanca founder Neil Bogart, who died of cancer during the sessions.
