This is Joe Cuba's debut on Tico Records, and it was already laying the groundwork for boogaloo two years before "Bang Bang" made him famous for it. Cheo Feliciano and Jimmy Sabater trade Spanish and English vocals across the record, and "El Ratón" — the standout here — has been sampled by Black Eyed Peas and covered by both Santana and Willie Bobo since. This is a Venezuelan reissue on Barbaro of that original 1964 session.
Genre: Latin / Boogaloo
Year: Reissue (orig. 1964 on Tico)
Label: Barbaro — LP-1112
Country: Venezuela
Condition: Media: G+ / Sleeve: G
Notes: Taped seams, heavy ring wear, writing on back cover. Persistent surface noise and pops throughout — see photos before buying.
