A guy doing his best Boris Karloff impression made the original Halloween party record. “Monster Mash” hit No. 1 in October 1962 and never left the season, but the rest of the album is where the fun is: “Blood Bank Blues,” “Skully Gully,” and “Me And My Mummy” turn the whole thing into a one-man graveyard dance party. Put it on when the trick-or-treaters thin out.
Genre: Novelty / Rock & Roll / Horror Rock / Halloween / Holiday
Year: 1962
Label: Garpax Records — GPX-57001
Country: US
Condition: Media: VG+ / Sleeve: VG
Notes: Original 1962 mono pressing with “Transylvania Twist” as B1 (later replaced). Writing on front and back cover; minor wear and tear.
